One of the hallmarks of true Fatherhood is loving instructions. Hebrews 12 speaks of God’s loving instructions or corrections to us as His children and how such instructions if taken into account produces great character fruits in us.
It is to our own advantage that we must listen to what God is instructing to do as His instructions are specifically designed to help us grow into the image and nature of God.
Divine instructions are also designed to aid us in our human interactions as through these instructions we come to discover the best ways to relate with one another.
When God gives you an instructions, sometimes it may carry elements of pain as His instructions could be geared towards helping you overcome things and behaviors that you are comfortable with and as such finds it challenging to respond.
Know for sure that God’s grace is more than available to you in this matter as that His mercy are new every morning.
If you missed out on anything God has asked of you, don’t give up as His mercy grantee that He will come to you again and again until you are in the position of full obedience.
The key to obedience is love and trust. Loving and trusting God as a Father helps you to see the heart of God for you in all He is asking of you.
Remember that whom the Father loves, he correct and the lack of fatherly corrections is emblematic of illegitimacy and we are not illegitimate Children.
