Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say, Rejoice.
Paul was a man filled with the Holy Spirit and he experienced such life-threatening circumstances and situations that often when you want to consider someone whose life epitomizes Grace and at the same time suffering, you think of Paul the Apostle. He understood by the inspiration of God the place of “Joy and Rejoicing” in handling the challenges of life.
This year is indeed good, however, let me be very clear there will be challenges and turmoil, but the good news is that God has already equipped you with what it takes to be victorious. So why rejoice when things are not going well? The power of Joy and the attitude of rejoicing is central to victory and sustained victory. Joy as a spiritual ornament and fruit of the Holy Spirit ensures that:
1- Your heart is insulated from all darts of darkness. For joy is an ornament of grace because by it the strength of God is made available to you during the most tumultuous situations.
2- Rejoicing which is both an attitude and a disposition enables you to stay focus on what is important – which is what God is working out in you and for you through that situation.
3- Joy is a stabilizing force because it produces enzymes within your body that help regulate your blood pressure and causes emotional regulation thereby making it possible for you to be calm. When you are mentally and emotionally destabilized, your spirit loses control and you are impacted by everything that comes your way.
So, learn this year to produce the fruit of joy by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. You are commanded to be fruitful and fruitful you are and must be, for you are blessed beyond the curse. So, arise and bear fruits in all aspects of your life.
Shalom,
Apostle Morgan
