As He Christ is in Heaven, so are we here on Earth is often quoted in reference to power and authority among the pentecostal and Charismatic movement. But, contextually, I John 4vs.17 is addressing the true nature of Christ Love.
Love that is foremost pure, righteous and holy in all of its actions. Love that is empathetic and understanding in all of its disposition towards the recipient.
God is love and anyone who claims to be in God and yet hate his brother or sister has not known God nor does such a person walk in the Light.
True love is honoring of one another in all of its actions. It is sacrificial in disposition. True love is truthful and doesn’t conceal evil.
True love which is God’s love is Agape in nature and character. It doesn’t act in ways to hurt or harm the one who it claims to love either by actions, behavior or words.
True love is holy in nature and acts in such manner that honor God in all relational disposition. You cannot claim to be in a God honoring relationship with one person and at the same time be in an infatuated ungodly relationship with another person as the world system would have you believe that it is right.
Our world and its systems through culture has redefined what LOVE ❤️ is all about. Unfortunately, the Believers in Christ seems to be buying into this unholy alliance with the World.
Teen engaging in dishonoring relationships with one another in the Name of Love.
Married people engaging in dishonorable relationships with others and it is called love.
People taking advantage of others and it is called ❤️ love.
Gos is love and in His nature and character, the truism of love is revealed.
