Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The psalmist was a man who understood trouble, persecution, turmoil, and difficulties. But He also was a Man who knew the Character and Nature of God. So in the midst of all his challenges, David chose to perceive and look at things from Gods perspective.
The above scripture underscores two important issues in our walk with God.
1. Waiting on Gods timing.
This is one of the most challenging aspects of our walk with God. Human nature suggests that we get things when we want them.
Lack of patience has rubbed many of their miracles and breakthroughs. David answers the question of waiting on God by establishing that we must be STILL. It means be calm, be hopeful and be in control of your thoughts and imaginations.
2. Know that I Am.
This is central to all breakthroughs, who we know God to be determines all of our approach to things in life.
Here the psalmist saw God as one who is exalted above all the earth. Who do you see God to be? Lets allow the Word of God frame our God image and not our circumstances. I pray you stay in the Word of God and allow the God’s Word determine your approach to life issues and not your natural senses.
God Bless.
