Mark 9:42 (KJV)And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
The spirit of offense is a destructive Spirit. It creates limitations and boundaries among brethren. It hinders fellowship and healthy relationships in families and in any organization that it steps into.
Therefore, the Bible warns us of allowing the Spirit of offense to enter us by way of bitterness and unforgiveness.
It is important we listen to Jesus and be not willing or unwilling agents through whom the spirit of offense exists or have access to destroy fellow believers or family members. To ensure that the spirit of offense does not enter or have access to you.
The following is important:
1. Walk in unconditional Love towards one another.
2. Be quick to forgive and accept forgiveness from others.
3. Pray honestly for one another.
4. Accept that we are all Humans and mistakes are part of human nature.
5. Walk away from pride and know how to say I am sorry and mean it by not repeating the same mistakes again.
6. Consciously do things that foster unity.
7. Don’t be a divider by being a gossiper and bearer of untruthful stories.
8. Submit to the Holy Spirit completely in all you do.
