1 Peter 3:15-16 (KJV)But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: [16] Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
The state of our heart is very important to God. It determines our faith, our approach to things, our perspective and our attitude. So we are called upon to sanctify the LORD in our hearts, meaning that we recognize and position our hearts for God to dwell in and for His use.
Two attitudes are encouraged in this passage:
1. Meekness or Humility.
Which is central to healthy relationships and friendships.
2. Reverence especially to God.
Which is the key to holy living and great relationships with God.
As we begin a new month, I pray we will be committed to God and to His vision for our lives. That we be ready to share our faith with others. That we walk in humility and reverence. I pray that those who seek to speak evil of you will find no reason in you to do so. Be blessed. Be encouraged. May doors of favor and Grace be open unto you.
Yours In Grace,
Apostle Morgan!
