The Faithfulness of God

Matthew 6:25-26 (KJV)

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

[26] Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Not a thoughtless life but a faith-based living and a confident, hopeful life have God called us unto. We are by very nature, beings of “thought.” Our mind is wired to think and even those of us who engage in the act of meditation and mindfulness, cannot fully run away from thinking thoughts and we often allow this aspect of our lives to be dominated by negative feelings and thoughts which eventually creates unbelief and all kinds of negative emotions in us.

The Bible encourages us to avoid engaging in unproductive, unbelief, self-destructive, and self-defeating thoughts but rather to consider and focus on:

  1. The greatness of God,
  2. The goodness of God,
  3. The faithfulness of God and His commitment to providentially ensure your sustainability in life.

Our attention is drawn to two life experiences that involve creations that we observe daily. The birds of the air, and the flowers of the field. Both are fully cared for by God and we can attest to that, and if we can, then we are challenged to look at ourselves from the vintage of the value God has placed on us. The value placed on anything, determine the care given to such a thing or person. We are valuable to God and He has demonstrated that by sending Jesus to die for us.

No greater love has anyone than this, that a man should lay down His own life for those He loves or values. If God did not hold back His only child but gave Him up for you, will He not also through Him give you all things to freely enjoy, oh you of little faith. So we must see the commitment of God and be appreciative of it.

The things that so drive us crazy are things that are already allocated to us by God. Remember that to be fruitful, faith in God is of necessity. You are commanded to be fruitful and fruitful you are, for the power of the Curse has been broken.

Shalom,

Apostle Morgan.
