Psalm 2:11 (KJV)
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Two outcomes in life are determined or generated by approach. The first is the response. And secondly, it determines Acceptance. It is then not a mistake that the Bible speaks clearly how we out to approach God and how we ought to serve God. We are not slaves to God, we are His children and He is both our God and Father.
And as such we are instructed to serve Him in reverence, meaning in honor. To honor someone is to do what is right by that person. It is to obey and cherish that person. It is to respect the presence of such a one. It is to love and carry out the request and instructions of such a one in a pleasurable manner.
So we are required to honor God in our lives and to cherish His presence within us.
How do we do that you may ask?
1. Always recognize and cherish the presence of God within you by being conscious of the truth that God is with you always and that your actions are pleasing to Him. This attitude will act as a check to you and you will notice that you are more God-conscious than self-conscious.
2. Be a true worshiper of God.
Let everything’s within you seek to worship God. To worship is to adore and to accord honor and praise to someone. To worship is to declare with our mouth the goodness of God before others and to ourselves.
3. Is to obey and do right by God.
One of the ways we obey and do right by God is to love one another. You see that we are creatures of love and affection, it is innate in us to love. So we must accept that when we love others as God desires, we are giving reverence to God.
4. It is by avoiding sinful behaviors and living a holy and righteous life. This is simply doing what is right before God in our daily interactions as well as things and thoughts that are pleasing to God.
Now, many may say, is that not so difficult? No, it is not because the Holy Spirit of God within you helps you to do all that. So all you are to do is to yield to Him. Remember, that we can only bear fruits if we are fully yielded to the Holy Spirit.
You are called to be spiritually fruitful and fruitful you are. The power of the curse has been broken.
Shalom,
Apostle Morgan.
