Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26 KJV
Holy Spirit does so many things for us and through us – One of His assignment in our life is to help us pray 🙏 according to the will of the Father. For the Holy Spirit knows and searches the heart ❤ of God and bring the burden of the Father into our human spirit. Praying by and through the Holy Spirit 🙏is one of the Hallmark of Christian ✝️Growth. It means that I have:
A. Surrendered my human will and desires to the will and desires of the Holy Spirit. Even when such prayer needs or items are not necessarily what I would have wanted to pray 🙏for. Example, the Holy Spirit prompt you to pray for someone who have seriously hurt you by putting the person needs or name in your heart ❤.
Responding to the Holy spirit and allowing Him pray through your Human spirit for such becomes a mark of growth 🙏. Especially, when you pray in love without bitterness or hurt.
B. I am constantly acknowledging my human limitations in the place of prayer without the enabling Grace of the Holy Spirit. Meaning that I realize that prayer is not just saying things but an engagement with the Divine that in my humanity am unable to truly do in the right and righteous way without the Holy Spirit.
Prayer becomes 🙏a real Fellowship when it is done by and through the help of the Holy Spirit. For in true prayer Self is not the Focus but the Glory of God. Even when praying 🙏for your own personal needs.
C. I have committed myself to complete and totally yielded to the Holy Spirit and I have recognized that I am limited in my understanding of what I need to pray for – So in those moments when my humanity is so broken 💔 and unable to pray due to painful experiences, hurtful experiences or even just being naturally overwhelmed, the Holy Spirit pray for me and through my human spirit with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Trust the Holy Spirit 🙌and depend on Him. He is here to aid you and to walk 🚶♂️ with you in all things and in every area of your life.
Remember that prayer 🙏is not only when your human spirit is fully engaged in prayers with your understanding but prayer is also being fully yielded to the Holy spirit even when you are not participating 🙏in the act of prayer. He pray for you and I according to the Will of God.
