Romans 1:16 (KJV)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
There are many things to which we may be ashamed of, our past lives, our current hidden struggles, our unspeakable and unknown thoughts that may be impure in nature, our ancestry, ethnicity, and the list goes on and on.
The power of shame is that it robs us of boldness and confidence.
It hinders us from fully expressing our convictions because we feel unworthy. It puts us in position of weakness and deprives us of courage. However, all of the above happens when we are unable to allow the cleansing power of the cross to heal and deliver us from the power of shame.
But Paul, a man who understood what it means for your past to speak against you, declared I Am Not Ashamed of the GOSPEL. Oh what a place to be where you can say, there is one thing in my Life that I am not ashamed of. The Gospel is the power of God.
All that God has done for humanity is wrapped up in the Gospel. Be not ashamed of telling people and sharing it. It liberates. It delivers. It heals. It saves. It Restores. It is the Good News. Identify with it with everything in you. Jesus Christ died that you may live.
We are only ashamed of people or things we consider to be different from us or unworthy of our allegiance. Are you ashamed of Christ? If not. Are you proud of Him and if yes, do you share the good news of Salvation in Him?
Shalom,
Apostle Morgan!
