Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
This is one of my favorite scripture passage. It speaks of God’s goodness and grace towards His children and presents such a wonderful promise that we all desires which is PEACE OF MIND. And throughout the world today people are seeking for peace of mind. Some through unconventional ways and means.
Others through some sort of spiritual experience and religion. Others through psychological endeavors of mindfulness. Anyway, people want peace and are seeking for it. But the Bible presents two fundamental basis upon which peace is found:
1. A Relationship with God. This is central to peace. God is the author of peace and the one who is able to give you lasting peace of mind. He gives peace not as the world do. The world peace is conditional upon a certain premise. And it is not lasting. It is often materialistic and are based on external factors that are subject to variation. Therefore, it does not last, because central to lasting peace is the source.
You must make a conscious determination of keeping your mind on the Lord. Meaning you see God as the source and the only source of your peace.
2. Be willing to trust God with all your heart and soul. And do so by accepting His love and His ways especially when it comes to solutions to your problems. Let Him lead you in the way you should go. He has promised to give it to you the peace of God if only you can trust Him.
