Knowing Your Identity

Psalm 40:8-10, 16-17; Isaiah 45:9-12
One of the most important things in life is finding or knowing your identity.
Get to know that the source of your identity, Jesus Christ.
Here are some practical tips on discovering who you are.
1. Determine to be real. Pretending to be something you are not will only harm your search for identity.
Being real with yourself means that you truly accept the uniqueness of how God created you ( Psalm 139 vs. 12 – 17). You are wonderful ❤ and uniquely created ❤. God did not create you less than anyone else. Your uniqueness is your beauty ✨. Celebrate that unique you and learn to grow in the understanding of who God created you to be and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you about yourself.
Struggling with yourself and wishing you were someone else will only hinder your True Growth in your Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Personality.
2. Understand the risks. Being real means being vulnerable. And being vulnerable means being honest.
Jesus was extremely real. He never pretended to be something he wasn’t.
When he felt anger, he showed it and explained the source.
And He did not allow any Emotional Personality to Define His True Identity.
When he was moved by pity, he expressed it and taught his disciples to do the same.
But with being real comes the risk of being rejected. Jesus was willing to take that risk, and he wants to empower you to take the same risks he did.
3. Don’t argue with your Creator. Ask God to give you contentment in who you are.
Instead of questioning why you are not good at this or don’t look like so-and-so, simply trust your heavenly Father in knowing that his plan is absolutely perfect!
Accept that God created you the best you but you have a responsibility to grow in knowledge of your True Self.
Know You may not understand God’s reasoning for creating you uniquely but His plan is perfect!
The mature disciple will accept God’s ways, even though she or he doesn’t fully understand them.
Remember that knowing your Identity in Christ is central to the Fulfillment of all that your Destiny Demands.
Grow in the Knowledge of Christ.
Grow in the Word of God. Grow in Fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Grow and Determine to Continue to Grow in allowing God Reveal 🙏 you to you. Be true to yourself and avoid comparing yourself with another. You are the Best God could have possibly Created 🙏. Celebrate your Identity.
Shalom.
