Psalm 119:73 KJV
Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandment.
The psalmist was a man of uncommon understanding, whose desires in life was to know God and to develop a living relationship with God. He knew that identity was central to purpose and that one can truly fulfill his or her purpose in life with acknowledging and accepting that God is the creator and source of life.
When we come to the full understanding of God’s sovereign ownership of our Lives, the struggles of availability and commitment will cases. For our true identity as God’s creation enables us to truly desire to please Him in all things.
Therefore, the psalmist declared ” Your hands have formed me, give me understanding that I may do your Commandments “. He who create has authority and power of determination of use.
The question then is, am I available to God? Do I in truth recognize His sovereign Rights in my life? Is my passion and purposes in life tied to His Design for my life?
It is easy to forget ones identity and neglect the Purpose for which that Identity is given at the first place. But when the Heart ❤ is in tune with God, you will ever be available for Him and to Him.
Our Identity calls us to be Witness for Christ. It calls us to love one another. It calls us to serve God in other people’s lives 🙏and in being the Light of the world 🌎.
Let us realize that these are not just mere words but are the very defining purposes of our existence. I pray that we all may arise daily with the consciousness and determination 🙏by God’s Grace to live out our true identity and purpose 🙏❤🙌.
Shalom.
