Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
We are not called to live a thoughtless life but a worry free life. Thinking productively and creatively is of God. But being obsessed by things to the point you lose your Peace and Joy is not of God.
Here the example to which we are called to observe are birds. We see them everywhere and everyday but has never seen any die of hunger, thirst, or lack. They are provided for by God. Our value before God is much more greater than that of birds, yet they are provided for and protected by God.
Hardly you see birds killed by a car or natural disaster because of the divine instinct God created them with. They sense dangerous situations and off they go. They find food of they go and inform other birds. They live in a community and they constantly fulfill their Purpose: which is singing and worshipping God.
Remember, now that provision and protection are tied to the fulfillment of your purpose. Do you know why you are created? Are you fulfilling your purpose? Are you are true worshipper? Do you praise God at all times? Are you sensitive to your environment? Do you live in a community of worshippers? Meaning do you go and belong to a church? Are active in that Church? These are qualities seen in every bird and God in turn ensures that they are provided for and protected at all times.
Learn to truly trust God and obey Him and you will lack nothing.
