God is the Truth and Assurance of our safety

If there is anything we all desires and work hard to achieve it is security. If there is anything we all want for our loved ones and pray for daily, it is for their safety. It is one of the most important aspects of life, ensuring that we are safe and secure. We pay lots of money for it. We build friendship and relationships with the intent that they will, in turn, make us safe.

One of the things we often seek in marriage and other long relationships is to be sure we feel safe with the individual. So the thought and idea of safety and security are paramount in our thinking and desires in life.

But how can we feel safe in a world full of turmoil and fear? In a world full of uncertainty and troubles. In a world where people disappoint and do not regard their words to be anything that you can hold on to. How do I find a place, a person or anything that truly grantees safely and security?

These are unspoken questions in the minds of many. We strive to answer them by seeking around and building relationships with the hope that we feel safe within such environments. However, as always the Bible comes to us with truth and assurance. The Bible presents to us the answer to these questions by declaring that safety and security are found only in God.

How you may ask?

1. By putting our trust in God. Those that put or place their trust in God will be safe and secure even in the days of calamity.

2. By making God our dwelling place or our place of refuge or hiding place. When God becomes all to you. It means that you have fully committed yourself and all that concerns you to Him.

3. By surrendering our lives and casting all our cares upon God. We develop trust in God which ensures that we are not disappointed nor overwhelmed by life’s problems.

It requires that we do the following:

  • choose to daily trust God,
  • intentionally build and develop our relationship with God,
  • that we truly obey God and the voice of the Holy Spirit,
  • for us to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into safety.

Safety and security are necessary for fruitfulness to occur because we can only be fruitful when we are in a position of strength and through God and being safe in Him, we find the strength to push through the challenges of life that come to hinder our fruitfulness. Remember, you are called to be fruitful and fruitful you are. The power of the curse has been broken.

Shalom,
