2 John 6 (KJV)
And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
The central message of the Gospel is defined in this word LOVE. As translated in the English language but from the original Greek language AGAPE. Meaning an unconditional commitment to someone. Meaning a character or quality of being and living demonstrated in ACTIONS and Words of Love. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.
It is a sacrificial love that seeks the best interest of the recipient. So, as believers, we have been called to this level of Love and it is the hallmark of our walk. We are to show this love by our actions, words, and deeds. For Jesus, the true nature of our Love for Him is seen in our obedience to His Word or commandment. Meaning that we show Jesus that we love when and if we obey His Words and Instructions. It is important that we understand as well as accept that true love for God involves obedience.
So what then are we to obey?
1. Be a living witness for Christ. Let your life share the story of the Gospel. Share your faith with others. Be the Bible and the Christ that others see.
2. Be a loving vessel. One through whom others experience practically what it means to be a loving person.
3. Love one another. Commit to showing and doing acts of love for others especially those who don’t deserve it. Our walk ought to be a demonstration of our love life.
Remember, that love is a language that none can resist. Let’s love indeed and in Truth. You are Blessed and Highly Favored.
