God Restores Our Soul

Psalm 23:3 (KJV)

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

The psalmist was a man of uncommon grace and deep understanding of the mercy of God. Life never was easy for him even as one of the greatest kings of Israel.  He knew many troubles but he also knew many victories.  In his life we learn much about the love of God and the mercy of God, but he knew how to praise God in the midst of all the challenges he had to endure.
In psalm 23, David speaks of the Nature of God as the greatest Shepherd and one of the statements David made by the Holy Spirit is that “God is a Restorer of Soul”. Now, it is important we put this statement within context,  in this messianic Psalm David pints a picture of a loving, and caring Shepherd who leads His flock to green pastures and still waters one of the greatest gift a Shepherd can give to his sheeps.
God care for you and leads you to provisions that you need. He not only cares and loves you much, He is committed to the restoration of your soul. The Soul is the core or the very essence of life. It is the sit of our emotional intelligence and when we are troubled within our soul, every other aspect of our lives are deeply troubled.  Therefore,  we need restoration of our soul. The quieting of our soul. And God does this as follows:
1. Speaking tenderly to us every day.
2. The assurance of His presence in the midst of all storms.
3. The comfort of the Holy Spirit.
4. The promises of His words.
5. Blessing us with godly and caring friends and relationships that come alongside us in the journey of life.
The Restoring of your soul is critical to the health of your life.  A sick soul is a sick life and God does not want you to be sick within your soul. Only God can reach and touch your soul with love and mercy in ways no other can. You are Blessed and Highly Favored.
Shalom,
Apostle Morgan
