John 15:5 (KJV)
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
The picture painted here is of dependency and partnership. Christ introduces us the concept and principle of our fruitfulness in life. He established that the we must stay connected and dependent on Him for our fruitfulness.
The Father is the one who keeps us in shape through the Holy Spirit by removing any and all unwanted characters that may hinder our fruitfulness. So clearly, you and I must bear fruit and God does desire that our fruit endures. We are choice seeds, planted in good soil and we must produce a harvest.
Allow this consciousness to be in your Spirit. Stay open to the pruning process of God. See it as a good thing when the Father through the Holy Spirit prune you for your good. Remember, that you have a reward that is attached to your fruitfulness. I pray you intentionally do all that are necessary in order to be fruitful in the Kingdom.
