Fellowship: A key to your fruitfulness

Revelation 3:20 (KJV)

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

People seek and speak of their privacy, their rights of choice and decision-making. They seek environments where they are free to choose and are welcomed the way they are. But often we forget that God is the only One who has truly given us the absolute ‘right of choice’; who has always said come as you are. We forgot that though He God knows all that is to be known about us, He has never imposed Himself on us. So, when you think of where to be loved unconditionally, know that God has already done that for you.

Jesus said I stand at the door of your heart. I am knocking and if you open, I will come in and fellowship with you. Think about it – when people have authority over you, hardly do they give you choice. But not Jesus, He is gentle and loving. He is not forcing His way into your life. He is asking you to allow Him to come in. We must remember that this scripture was written to the church and it is surprising to note the fact of Jesus is standing at the door. Think about it!

Are we people in church whose heart Jesus is not enthroned? Are we people in church whose lifestyle is that which Christ does not reign in? How come Jesus is saying to those at the Church of Ephesus, I am standing at the door?

We must truly reflect on this issue and be true to ourselves as it relates to our heart condition. Jesus seeks fellowship with us. Are we giving Him that right to come in and fellowship with us? We know that fellowship is one of the keys to fruitfulness. Fellowship produces character and it is the place of impartation. As we fellowship with Christ we are transformed by the Holy Spirit.

I say this to you:

  • Let’s not keep Christ out of our hearts.
  • Let’s not keep Christ out of our decisions.
  • Let not keep Christ out of anything we do.

For when we do such, we stand to miss out and to lose from all that God has for us. Be fruitful this year in your walk with Christ.

Shalom,

Apostle Morgan.
