Be Faithful in word and deed!

Luke 16:10 (KJV)

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Is there anyone who despises faithfulness? Is there anyone who doesn’t care about people being dependable? No, we all desire to relate with people whose words mean something to them. We look for the quality of faithfulness in our employees. We hold on to relationships that have been proven and tested over time because something in us feels secure in such relationships. So the quality of character known as faithfulness is not only that which God possesses but we all have the capacity to be faithful.

However, the question remains, why is it that many of us are not faithful? Why do people disappoint? Why do people fail to hold on to the end of their bargain? Why do people not take their words seriously? Why do people drop the ball? These and many more are questions we all have asked sometimes in life as we interacted and dealt with people. To these questions, we seek an answer.

There are many factors that may contribute to someone being faithful or not being faithful:

  1. It is a choice to outlive the capacity of faithfulness. Meaning that we all have to make the choice to be faithful. It requires my choice.
  2. Faithfulness is a matter of value assigned. Meaning that those who are faithful have assigned great value to the object of their faithfulness. What I have no value for, I can’t be faithful to.
  3. Faithfulness is the end result of growth in the ways of God and growth in the values of life that are consistent with moral uprightness.

It is important that we are found faithful because it is the basis of promotion in life. Consider the following:

  • It opens doors of favor.
  • It strengthens friendship and relationships.
  • It demonstrates the very nature of God to people through your life.
  • It is one of the grantees of fruitfulness.

Let remember that we are called to be fruitful and fruitful you are. The power of the curse has been broken.

Shalom,

Apostle Morgan.
