Knowing God’s Will For You

Psalm 143:10 (KJV)

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

The psalmist was a man who understood the benefits of knowing the “will of God.” He sought God with everything in him. The quest of his life was to know the “ways of God.”

What we spend our time and energy on demonstrates where our values are and what our passion is. So to be frank, no one truly can say they love God indeed and their life quest is not about knowing God and walking in His ways. To truly please God, we must know His will. In order words, we must know what He wants from us and why He desires such from us. To be taught requires an openness of heart and a desire for change through that process.

We become better friends of God when we know His will. We treat others better when we know how God expects us to treat people. So knowing God’s will is at the core of living an effective Christian life. The Spirit of God is there within us to teach us God’s will through the Word of God.

When we know His will, confusion will stop in those areas of our lives. When we know His will, growth will occur within us. When we know the will of God, we will be fruitful. When we know the will of God, we will love as He does, forgive as He does, and be compassionate as He does.

Therefore, central to fruitfulness is knowing the will of God. Remember, you are called to be fruitful and fruitful you are for the power of the curse has been broken.

Shalom,

Apostle Morgan.
