Isaiah 26:9 (KJV)
With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
The deepest desires of our hearts are seen by the pursuit of our lives. The psalmist by the Holy Spirit revealed what our deepest desire should be and that is to seek for the Lord. Seeking God is an honor. Our lives find meaning and purpose as we seek the Lord. There is no want to those that seek God. I will seek you early the psalmist declares implying that we don’t wait until everything is in place before we seek God rather we start early and in everything seeking God is the first thing we do in every situation. To seek God therefore means:
1. To diligently engage in prayers as to know what the mind of God is for us in every situation.
2. To read and meditate upon His words so that we may learn His ways.
3. To be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit as He reveals to us the mind of Christ.
What we do in seeking God is that we honestly humble ourselves before Him and acknowledge that without Him we are nothing. Seeking God begins in our soul. It is a thing of the spirit that is translated into physical actions such as being involved in church activities as well as personal spiritual activities that open you up to the ways of God.
Seeking God includes standing in the gap in prayer for others and your community. It is important that we seek God, for those who seek Him has no want of anything. You are blessed and highly favored.
Shalom,
Apostle Morgan.
