What is your ‘CONFESSION’?

1 John 4:15 (KJV)

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

The power of confession cannot be underestimated. However, it is essential to establish that confession in itself without faith in the person making such confession will amount to nothing. We heard it been said, “Confession is Possession,” implying that by what we say, we stand to see or receive, as factual as that may sound, it is not just confession that grantees the outcome. It is the faith expressed in our case to God.

It is the conviction that we have in our spirit as we make the confessions. It is the relationship we have with God and our understanding of His word that brings our confession to pass. It is imperative that we also understand that our confession is the by-product of the inner workings of our thoughts and the conditions of our hearts. For as an individual thinks in his or her heart, so is that person, and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So to make confessions that are potent, we must first have faith.

And secondly, we must have a deep conviction of the possibility of what we say. Thirdly, a living relationship with God is required. Now to our text, the critical element here is that when we believe in our heart and confesses with our mouth that Jesus is the Son of God, a relationship begins between God and us. And that relationship now allows us to become one with God. So God now lives in us and we in Him. So then when you speak or make confessions about anything consistent with the Word of God and His promises, you stand to receive it (Mark 11 vs. 23 – 24).

We must understand and operate by the laws of the new testament and the Word of God. Watch what you say and keep saying because you will eventually become it. You are blessed and highly favored.

Shalom,

Apostle Morgan.
