2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Christianity is not an immunity from the challenges of life. The profound thing about the Bible is that it is Truth, and it declares and reveals practical principles of life. God has never failed to declare to us that life on earth will be challenging and that we will be tested, trailed, tempted, but that ultimately, we will overcome. So, we are without a witness, and when we see life for what it is, we come to the realization that God is not only able, He is willing.
Paul was a man with a unique calling and purpose in God. He served God with everything in him and was sold out to God. However, he faced life just like we are facing today. And amid his challenges, God gives him an understanding of how He God works in such times as the one you may be facing now. God revealed that:
- It is not everything situation that He will rescue us from supernatural by whisking us out of it, but that He God supplies us with Grace. The divine ability to withstand, to push through it, to see the hand of God in it. And to stand the test of time as we go through knowing that victory is guaranteed.
- Through what we go through, a revelation of the strength of God is made manifest in our lives. So there is a purpose in what we go through, and seeing that purpose and staying the course is key to how we navigate through it. Remember that God will never live you alone nor forsake you.
